<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and simplified system configuration by reducing the quantity of random numbers to be used without sacrificing a signal processing speed. <P>SOLUTION: A quantum encryption key distribution system includes: phase modulators (modulators) 14, 31 provided in both Alice (transmitter) 1 and Bob (receiver) 3 for applying modulation of the same value to a plurality of light pulses within a predetermined block (spatial and temporal range); light pulse detectors 35, 36 provided in Bob 3 for detecting a light pulse to which encryption key information has been given as bits; and key information discarding means processors (key information discarding means) 17, 37 provided in both Alice 1 and Bob 3 for discarding, when a plurality of light pulses are detected within the same block by the light pulse detectors 35, 36, all or a part of the bits given to these light pulses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
