The plate-shaped support structure (1) has fiber-composite frame strips (2-5) arranged in a common plate plane in a core portion. The core region of the supporting structure is covered on both sides by cover plates (9) so as to cover the central area (6) and the composite frame strips. The cover plates are provided with the frame strips in force-transmitting manner.
