426,692. Refrigerating. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE, Baden, Switzerland. July 27, 1934, No. 22030. Convention date, July 27, 1933. [Class 29] Compression machines.-In a totally enclosed refrigerating machine comprising a driving motor 4, gearing 5, compressor 6 and condenser 2 disposed within the refrigerating medium space enclosed by a casing 1, the oil in the lubricating system of the machine circulated by a pump 7 is cooled in a cooler 8 by condensate trickling from an auxiliary condenser 9 also disposed within the vapour space and above the cooler 8. The lubricant is stated to be always kept warmer than the vapour surrounding it thus preventing condensation of the vapour on the lubricated parts and consequent dilution of the lubricants. The auxiliary condenser may be cooled by water tapped from the supply pipe of the main condenser. The cooling condensate may be collected in vessels 11 and 12 and conveyed therefrom to other parts to be cooled, such as the gear casing and bearing casing.
|
