Disclosed are an around view system and an image brightness correction method thereof. The around view system according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: an image receiving unit which receives front, rear, right, and left images from multiple cameras respectively provided on front, rear, right, and left sides of the vehicle; a calculation unit which produces a base correction value at the present point for uniformly adjusting the brightness of the front, rear, right, and left image by applying a predetermined computation to the brightness of the front, rear, right, and left image received at the present point, and produces a final correction value at the present point for limiting, below a predetermined value, a change in the brightness of an around view screen according to time using the average of n past correction values calculated from the base correction value and n past front, rear, right, and left images; a brightness correction unit which corrects the brightness of the front, rear, right, and left image depending on the final correction value; and an image synthesis unit which forms one around view screen with the corrected front, rear, right, and left image.
