This toilet device is characterized by being provided with: a toilet unit comprising a bowl which has hydrophilic properties and receives bodily wastes; an ejection unit for ejecting either water and/or hypochlorous solution onto the surface of the bowl; a detection unit for detecting the use state of the toilet unit; and a control unit for controlling the ejection unit before and after the use of the toilet unit on the basis of the result of detection by the detection unit and performing control which causes, before the use, either the water and/or the hypochlorous solution to be ejected from the ejection unit and causes, after the use, the hypochlorous solution to be ejected from the ejection unit. The spread of bacteria and the adhesion of bodily wastes, which are caused by a fat content, can be prevented to maintain the cleanliness of the surface of the bowl of the toilet unit. |
