A controller in an air conditioning system for a vehicle is provided to display symbols brightly by mounting plural light sources near the symbols. A controller in an air conditioning system for a vehicle comprises a main printed circuit board(20), a rotary knob(30), a support ring(40), a push knob(50), symbols(90), and a symbol illumination unit. The main printed circuit board installed inside a control cover controls the air conditioning system by processing an applied switching signal. The rotary knob rotated in the main printed circuit board generates a variable switching signal according to the rotation of the knob. The support ring placed at the inner periphery of the rotary knob is fixed on the main printed circuit board. The push knob slid in the support ring generates an on or off switching signal according to the pushing manipulation by the user. The symbols are formed at the push knob to display the on/off condition of the push knob and an object to be selected by the rotary knob. The symbol illumination unit for illuminating the symbols includes plural light sources(92), a sub printed circuit board(70), and a connecting unit. The sub printed circuit board is separated from the main printed circuit board to support the light sources near the symbol. The connecting unit electrically connects the sub and main printed circuit boards in order to provide the power to the light sources. |
