The present invention relates to a video display device which can be seen by only one of many people. The video display device of the present invention displays data images and complementary color images using a polarizing video display device or a separate video device for right and left eyes, enables users to look at data images using polarizing glasses or shutter glass type glasses without exposing eyes to complementary color images, and enables users without wearing glasses to be exposed to data images and complementary color images, causing the users to look at only achromatic-colored images caused by color mixing. According to the present invention, a monitor enables users to easily look at private information, or images which the users want to keep confidential without causing others inconvenience by using computer monitors used in the office or portable video devices used in public places such as subways, buses, parks, and squares.
