The case (BP) has a front part (PV), and an inner housing (LI) extending in a transverse direction and accommodating an anti-submarining reinforcement unit. The inner housing is isolated from a battery (BA) by an inner rigid partition wall (PI), where the inner housing includes an upper shell (CS) secured to a lower shell (CI). The anti-submarining reinforcement unit is arranged in the form of a transverse and rigid composite structure containing glass fibers, thermosetting resin and mineral fillers. An independent claim is also included for a car.
