One type of X-ray computed tomography and a system thereof are disclosed. The X-ray computed tomography includes the following steps: performing a topogram scan and displaying a topogram; obtaining a tomogram scan range through the topogram; displaying a scan protocol option corresponding to the tomogram scan range; obtaining selection of the scan protocol option; and performing a tomogram scan through the selected protocol option. By using the X-ray computed tomography and the system thereof of the present invention, a tomogram scan range can be confirmed through a topogram, and also, a scan protocol option corresponding to the tomogram scan range can be provided, thereby preventing efficiency degradation caused by reckless selection of tomogram scan ranges.
