One aspect of the present invention provides an electronic expansion valve driver testing device and a testing method thereof, for a more precise test than a test with the naked eye, which check the failure of an electronic expansion valve by determining a change rate of a resistance value according to the rotation of a rotor by a variable resistor and a microcomputer and comparing and analyzing the determined change rate of the resistance value with a previously stored change rate of the resistance value. The electronic expansion valve driver testing device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprise a pulse generator which provides pulse signals provided to a coil stator of the electronic expansion valve; a rotary variable resistor which is located at an output shaft of a rotating rotor by interacting with the coil stator of the electronic expansion valve and which changes a resistance value while rotating corresponding to the rotation of the rotor; and a microcomputer which detects a change rate of the resistance value changed in the variable resistor, which compares and determines the change rate of the resistance value and a reference change rate of the resistance value, and which determines the normality of a connection status of the electronic expansion valve.
