The present invention relates to an air conditioner for a vehicle. More specifically, an accommodation unit is formed in an outlet of a hot air path inside an air conditioning case in order to accommodate a door unit on one side of a temperature control door. While the temperature control door rotates in a maximum heating mode at a predetermined angle, whole cross-sectional area of the outlet of the hot air path can be used as the door unit does not reduce a cross-sectional area of the hot air path. Thereby development periods for improving temperature controllability can be reduced, and dissatisfaction of the temperature controllability caused by a tolerance of each component for operating the temperature control door can be reduced by setting operation angle by the temperature in a heating mode operating section of the temperature control door to be larger than the existing angle. The door unit on one side of the temperature control door is operated in the accommodation unit in the heating mode operation section so that the air conditioner for the vehicle can solve a problem in which hot air stays due to the door unit.
