The splint (200) has two longitudinal sleeves (208) that are intended to be placed indifferently and respectively on a palmar side and a dorsal side of a wrist. A palm rib is ready to be inserted in a removable manner in each of the sleeves. A dorsal rib is ready to be inserted in a removable manner in each of the two sleeves. A fastener system maintains the sleeves on the wrist. The fastener system includes a set of removable belts (240, 242) to loop around the forearm and/or of the wrist, and includes a set of loop closing units such as hooks. An independent claim is also included for a method for configuration of a splint.
