PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress electrochemical decomposition of electrolytic solution and the like at a negative electrode of a lithium ion battery or a lithium ion capacitor, to reduce an irreversible capacitance, to improve cycle characteristics, or to enlarge a usable temperature range.SOLUTION: A negative electrode for a power storage device comprises: a negative electrode current collector; a negative electrode active material layer provided on the negative electrode current collector, and having a plurality of granular negative electrode active materials; and a coating film coating a part of the granular negative electrode active materials. The coating film is a film having an insulation property and lithium ion conductivity.
