<p>[Problem] To provide a further improved technology relating to the drive operation of a driving tool. [Solution] A nailing machine (100) has: a compression cylinder (131); a driving cylinder (121); a crank mechanism (115) and an electric motor (111) that drive a compression piston (133) inside the compression cylinder (131); and a magnetic sensor (150) that measures the position of the crank mechanism (115). The nailing machine (100) detects the position of the compression piston (133) on the basis of the position of the crank mechanism (115) detected by the magnetic sensor (150), and, before commencing the nail driving operation, performs a return operation that moves the compression piston (133) to a bottom dead point, if the position of the compression piston (133) detected by the magnetic sensor (150) is a position other than the bottom dead point.</p> |
