The method involves carrying out charging and/or discharging an electrical energy storage (2) for charging- and/or discharging currents (I) above a predetermined threshold value with a time uninterruptible direct current (DC) and below the threshold value with a time interrupted DC. The threshold value is selected such that a ripple of the time uninterruptible current does not cause any current zero crossovers. The charging- and/or discharging currents are controlled by a power converter (4). The energy storage is charged with current from a photovoltaic system (3). An independent claim is also included for a charging- and/or discharging device for an electrical energy storage.
