PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with a universal cassette that can receive sheets of standard size such as B4 and A4, and also can receive sheets of non-standard size, wherein the apparatus eliminates the need for a complicated mechanism or a plurality of sensors for use in preventing an image failure due to a set position failure of a regulating plate, and also notifies a user of the set position failure of the regulating plate, promptly.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is configured to notify a user of a set position failure of a regulating plate at a timing when detecting that a non-standard size sheet is stored, when operating by a mode for storing the sheet of the standard size in a universal cassette. |
