A method for optimizing clinical flow and operational efficiencies in a network environment is provided and includes generating a patient care plan for each patient in a medical care facility, generating a patient pathway for each patient, executing the patient care plans and the patient pathways of the respective patients during encounters associated with the respective patients, capturing real time data during the execution of the patient care plans and the patient pathways, performing an analysis on the real time data, and displaying the real time data in a visual display. The patient care plan includes one or more activities, and each activity includes one or more tasks. Each patient pathway includes one or more activities and one or more intermediate products. |
