Motor vehicle folding top comprises a flexible folding top layer providing a folding top outer surface, comprising a folding top recess, in which at least one disc, preferably a rear window is arranged. An edge region of the folding top layer, surrounding the recess, is connected with an outer edge of the disc using a polyurethane beaded element which is synthesized by reacting an isocyanate component with a polyol component comprising (a) a polyol, polyetherol and/or polyesterol, (b) a propellant, or (c) a lead-free catalyst. An independent claim is also included for producing the motor vehicle folding top, comprising (A) arranging a flexible textile folding top layer having the folding top recess, in a mold tool, (B) arranging at least one window, preferably the rear window in the recess, (C) introducing a polyurethane sealing composition which comprises two components, preferably an isocyanate component and a polyol component, into the mold tool, in an intermediate space between an edge region surrounding the recess of the folding top layer and an outer edge of the disc, (D) reacting the two components at a temperature of less than 110[deg] C, preferably less than 85[deg] C to produce the beaded element, and (E) removing the formed folding top from the mold tool. |
