摘要 The method involves taking place fluorescence stimulation of the object (16) and a detection of a signal strength or intensity of the fluorescent signal of the object by a stimulation- and detection optical fiber (24) arranged in or at a probe (12). The detection of another signal strength or intensity of the fluorescent signal of the object takes place by another detection optical fiber (26). The relative distance between the object near end of the probe and the object is determined based on the ratio of the former to latter signal strength or intensity of the fluorescent signal of the object or based on the ratio of the latter to former signal strength or intensity of the fluorescent signal by a determining unit. An independent claim is included for a device for distance monitoring between probe and fluorescent object by a surgical or therapeutical method.
