The starting device has an electric starter motor (11) and a gear box, where an anchor shaft (16) of the starter motor is mounted in a bearing bush (21) at gear-box side, where the anchor shaft is a part of an anchor (15) and a support of an anchor packet (17). The bearing bush is axially received in the direction of the starter motor in the starting device in a sliding manner. The front side of the bearing bush is fitted for axial supporting to a support section (22) of the anchor. An independent claim is included for a method for mounting a starting device for an internal combustion engine.
