PURPOSE: A high beam control system of a car and a control method thereof are provided to automatically implement an on/off switching control, thereby not obstructing the field of vision of a driver of another vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A camera module takes pictures of the forward view of a vehicle. A forward vehicle analysis unit (220) analyzes at least one presence of an overtaking vehicle. A blind spot detection (BSD) sensor (230) is installed in the backward direction of the vehicle. The BSD sensor senses the vehicle which enters a blind spot. A control unit (240) performs an off-control of the high beam of the vehicle when the vehicle that entere the blind spot is detected.
