PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition capable of forming a film with excellent durability and favorable water-proof and moisture-proof performance with regards to a variety of substrates.SOLUTION: A durable water-proof and moisture-proof coating composition includes: (I) a polymer obtained by radical polymerization of a fluoroalkyl group-containing acrylate having a fluoroalkyl group ester bonded directly or through a bivalent organic group to a carboxyl group and optionally having a substituent at the α position, wherein the polymer is either (1) a polymer obtained by radical polymerization of a monomer component containing the fluoroalkyl group-containing acrylate and a radical polymerizable alkoxysilyl group-containing monomer or (2) a fluoropolymer comprising a polymer obtained by radical polymerization of the fluoroalkyl group-containing acrylate in the presence of an alkoxysilyl group-containing mercaptan; and (II) a fluorine-based solvent.
