PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopping-type developing device 1 capable of preventing the occurrence of toner scattering.SOLUTION: A developing device 1 develops an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor with a toner carrying roller 2 including a plurality of electrodes for hopping toner particles on the surface thereof. The developing device 1 is provided with an entrance opposing member 12 that is disposed at a casing entrance E that is a position where a hopping toner layer Lt on the surface of the toner carrying roller 2 is started to enter the inside of a casing 11 from the outside of the casing 11 in association with the rotation of the toner carrying roller 2, so as to oppose to the surface of the toner carrying roller 2 immediately after entering the inside of the casing 11 with a predetermined entrance gap therebetween, and is applied with a pressing voltage that is a voltage for electrostatically pressing the hopping toner layer Lt against the surface of the toner carrying roller 2. |
