PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus having plural functions, in which a problem due to a preparation operation executed without accompanied by a main operation is prevented from occurring.SOLUTION: A preparation operation execution section 301 causes a unit realizing one function independently of a main operation that is execution of the one function to execute a preparation operation for executing the main operation prior to the main operation. A determination section 302 determines whether or not to cause the preparation operation execution section 301 to execute the preparation operation on the basis of an execution state of the preparation operation not accompanied by the main operation. When a result of the determination by the determination section 302 shows that the preparation operation can be executed, an operation control section 303 makes the preparation operation executed in response to input of a command having a possibility of accompanying the main operation. When a result of the determination by the determination section 302 shows that the preparation operation cannot be executed, the operation control section 303 prohibits execution of the preparation operation at the time of input of a command having a possibility of not accompanying the main operation and makes the preparation operation executed in response to input of a command for executing the main operation. |
