The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising sodium thiosulphate dispersed in a hydrophile-in-lipophile emulsion, and the use thereof for topical administration for the treatment of an ectopic calcification and/or of the consequences thereof in an individual, the sodium thiosulphate being in the form of a pharmaceutical composition comprising, in addition, a hydrophile-in-lipophile emulsion. The invention also relates to a process for preparing these pharmaceutical compositions.
