PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a two-dimensional image and a three-dimensional image in a mixed manner without reducing spatial resolution of the two-dimensional image.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display unit that has a predetermined display area for displaying images; and a control unit that displays a three-dimensional image in a first area in the predetermined display area, displays a two-dimensional image in a second area in the predetermined display area, and displays the three-dimensional image and the two-dimensional image in a time-division manner. The display device may further include a variable parallax element that turns on a parallax function according to a display timing of the three-dimensional image.
