The phosphorus removing apparatus 10 comprises an adsorption tank (a mixing part for removal) 2 which mixes phosphorous-containing sewage (liquid) transported from a sewage pipe P2 after sewage treatment with zirconia ferrite particles (ferromagnetic particles) Z that is transported from a supply pipe P1 and adsorbs phosphorus, a removal flow passage 3 through which the mixed liquid produced by mixing the sewage with the zirconia ferrite particles Z in the adsorption tank 2 flows, a separation part 5 which is magnetizable and is detachably disposed within the removal flow passage 3 and a removal superconducting magnet (a removal magnetism feeding part) 6 which is provided around the removal flow passage 3 provided with the separation part 5 and applies a gradient magnetic field to the separation part 5.
