PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system in which a result of printing performed by a printer on the basis of a print job can be reliably recognized by an external device that started the print job.SOLUTION: In a print system, a PC 3 transmits a job ID and device ID to a printer 2 each time it starts a print job, and the printer stores the received job ID and device ID. Then, the PC 3 transmits print data to the printer 2 and the printer 2 performs printing on the basis of the received print data. The printer 2 stores result information including a print result, the job ID and device ID. After the print data is transmitted, the printer 2 transmits the result information to the PC 3 in response to receiving a request for the print result from the PC 3. When determining, on the basis of the result information, that the print job satisfies a predetermined end condition, the PC 3 ends the print job. |
