PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium for microwave-assisted recording, in which decrease in an inversion magnetic field dispersion and decrease in an inversion magnetic field intensity by a high-frequency magnetic field are both achieved and high-density recording can be carried out.SOLUTION: A magnetic particle of a magnetic recording medium is configured by a recording layer 3 and a resonance layer 4, in which the resonance layer is disposed on a side close to a protective layer 5 than the recording layer, and an anisotropic magnetic field of the magnetic material constituting the recording layer is controlled to be 1.2 times or more as the anisotropic magnetic field of the magnetic material constituting the resonance layer. The saturation magnetization of the magnetic material constituting the recording layer is approximately equal to the saturated magnetization of the magnetic material constituting the resonance layer. The magnetic recording medium has such a structure that the entire part of the resonance layer and a part of the recording layer of the magnetic particle are isolated from surrounding magnetic particles by a nonmagnetic material and that a part of the recording layer of the magnetic particle is connected to the surrounding magnetic particles. |
