The method involves pressurizing to-be-checked volume (8,10) with a fluid. A test leakage is provided to form an aperture in to-be-checked volume. The size of test leakage is measured and compared with an expected test leakage size. A reference value of a volumetric flow of fluid passed through the aperture is adjusted. An actual value of volumetric flow of fluid is detected. The size of the aperture is controlled based on the measured actual value, so that the actual value is equal to the reference value which is expected test leakage size. An independent claim is included for a leakage measuring device.
