PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute prescribed control processing associated with opening/closing of an opening/closing cover even when the opening/closing cover is opened/closed while a printer is in an off-mode.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a main body casing having an opening; an opening/closing cover for opening/closing an opening; an opening/closing cover sensor for detecting at least either the opening/closing cover having been opened or the same having been closed; a power supply switch; a power supply part; a power storage part; and a sub control part. The power storage part is charged during an on-mode and supplies power to the sub control part during an off-mode, and the sub control part monitors the power supply switch and the opening/closing cover sensor during the off-mode and switches the printer to the on-mode when the power supply switch is operated and executes prescribed control processing associated with opening/closing of the opening/closing cover when the opening/closing cover sensor detects at least either the opening/closing cover having been opened or the same having been closed. |
