PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact charging method and a contact charging system for an electric vehicle, securing a contact state even when the electric vehicle oscillates in a vertical direction during traveling while performing contact charging via a charge arm to a power supply device.SOLUTION: A charge arm 18 is extended to a vehicle width direction during traveling of an electric vehicle 10, and an energy storage device for the drive of the electric vehicle 10 is charged by simultaneously bringing a positive electrode wire 24p of a power supply device 26 and a negative electrode wire 24n of the power supply device 26 into contact with a positive electrode electricity receiving part 36p of the charge arm 18 and a negative electrode electricity receiving part 36n of the charge arm 18, respectively. Even when the charge arm 18 oscillates in the vertical direction due to road surface circumstances or brake operation or the like, a charge head 34 being a distal end part of the charge arm 18 is held in a V-shaped groove 23 in which the positive electrode wire 24p and the negative electrode wire 24n are installed. Accordingly, the contact is securely held. |
