PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous surface treating material having excellent storage stability and rust prevention.SOLUTION: A surface treating material contains (A) a synthetic resin emulsion, (B) a rustproof pigment, (C) an amino group-containing compound, and (D) an organic solvent having a solubility to water of <10/100 g, wherein with respect to 100 parts by weight of the (A) component, the (B) component is contained in 1 to 100 parts by weight, the (C) component is contained in 0.5 to 30 parts by weight, and the (D) component is contained in 1 to 50 parts by weight, and the content of an organic solvent (E) having a solubility to water of ≥10/100 g is ≤3 wt%. |
