PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which allows easy manufacturing of a cylindrical fiber bundle into which thermoplastic linear fibers are integrated, by bundling the thermoplastic linear fibers like a cylinder and fusing one open end part of the cylinder, and a fusion device applicable to the manufacturing method.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a cylindrical fiber bundle into which thermoplastic linear fibers are integrated, by bundling the thermoplastic linear fibers like a cylinder and fusing one open end part of the cylinder includes a fusion step of holding the one open end part of the cylindrical bundle of thermoplastic linear fibers, between a columnar member or a truncated conical member and a holding member having an open hole which is capable of coming into surface contact with the columnar member or the truncated conical member when the columnar member or the truncated conical member is inserted to the open hole, and fusing the held portion. |
