PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having no obstacle against taking a recording sheet when horizontally installed without increasing the size of an apparatus body and capable of receiving the discharged recording sheet without scattering it when vertically installed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a discharge tray 76; and support mechanisms 80, 82, 84, 86, 88, 90 movably supporting the discharge tray 76 in a manner straddling a discharge opening 66A for a recording sheet between a first attitude in which a first major surface 76A becomes a downslope toward a discharge roller 66 when an installation attitude is a horizontal attitude and a second attitude in which a second major surface 76B becomes a downslope toward the discharge roller 66 when the installation attitude is a vertical attitude. A recording sheet P discharged by the discharge roller 66 is stacked on the first major surface 76A in the horizontal attitude and stacked on the second major surface 76B in the vertical attitude. |
