PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic display device that can sample a proper sampling voltage while frequency-spreading a sampling clock.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a plurality of pixel switching elements 136 allowing for application of pixel voltage via a data line 134 to pixels included in a pixel column corresponding to one scan line 135 in accordance with the one scan line applied with a selection voltage; a voltage generation unit 300 changing sampling voltages that can be supplied to a plurality of data lines, in a period when a selection voltage is applied to one scan line; a scan line driving circuit 120 applying the selection voltage to one scan line sequentially selected; and a data line switch 133 turning on/off the supply of sampling voltage to the data line. The display device changes the sampling voltage in synchronization with the frequency spreading of a sampling clock for sampling a pixel voltage from the sampling voltage. |
