PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conversion adapter apparatus which makes it possible to attach an interchangeable lens to a camera body having a different flange back, and which improves layout of a communication contact point on a camera side and a communication contact point on a lens side, and layout of a conducting member that performs electrical conduction of the communication contact points.SOLUTION: A conversion adapter 30 which connects a camera body 10 and an interchangeable lens 20 comprises: a camera body side attaching part 31 provided so as to be mounted on the camera body 10; and a lens side attaching part 33 provided so as to be mounted on the interchangeable lens 20. The conversion adapter 30 comprises: a camera body side communication contact-point group 32 in contact with a communication contact-point group of the camera body 10; a lens side communication contact-point group 34 in contact with a communication contact-point group of the interchangeable lens 20; and a conducting member 301 electrically connecting the camera body side communication contact-point group 32 and the lens side communication contact-point group 34. A position of the camera body side communication contact-point group 32 around a camera optical axis and a position of the lens side communication contact-point group 34 around the camera optical axis are different from each other.
