Provided is a device for estimating the state of charge of a battery. A device for estimating the state of charge of a battery is provided with: a charge/discharge current detection unit which detects the charge/discharge current of the battery; a terminal voltage detection unit which detects the terminal voltage of the battery; an open voltage method-based state-of-charge estimation unit which estimates the open voltage of the battery on the basis of the charge/discharge current and the terminal voltage, and estimates an open voltage method-based state of charge from an open voltage-state of charge characteristic of the battery on the basis of the open voltage; a current integration method-based state-of-charge estimation unit which finds a current integration method-based state of charge as a state variable with a current that takes fluctuations into account as an input and with an open voltage method-based state of charge and the charge/discharge current as observables as an output in a current integration model; and an error correction value calculation unit which calculates an error correction value for correcting the current integration method-based state of charge by comparing the current integration method-based state of charge and the open voltage method-based state of charge. The current integration method-based state-of-charge estimation unit corrects the current integration method-based state of charge by the error correction value.
