PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter detection sensor capable of enlarging a detection range in a longitudinal direction of a sensor section.SOLUTION: Electrode wires 23, 24 are isolated from each other inside a hollow insulator 22 of a sensor section 21. A sealing member 34 seals a terminal 33 arranged adjacent to a longitudinal end of the sensor section 21, a lead wire connection section P2 that is a connection portion of the terminal 33 and lead wires 71, 72, an electrode connection section P1 that is a connection portion of the terminal 33 and the electrode wires 23, 24, and a longitudinal end of the hollow insulator 22 inside. The lead wires 71, 72 are arranged relative to the terminal 33 so that their longitudinal directions form an angle not more than a right angle with the longitudinal direction of the sensor section 21. The lead wire connection section P2 is displaced from the electrode connection section P1 in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the sensor section 21 on the terminal 33 so that it approaches an extraction position P3 at which the lead wires 71, 72 are extracted from a sealing member 34. |
