摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method capable of performing detection of a three-dimensional shape of a tube over the overall length of the tube in a reproducible state without spoiling by an influence from a periphery, preferably, in an automated manner.SOLUTION: There is provided a device which detects the three-dimensional shape of a tube (1), and includes a holding structure (2) for tube and a tube shape detector (3). The holding structure has at least one reception part (4) supporting the tube from inside. The tube shape detector is capable of detecting a tube shape in a noncontact manner, and the tube and the tube shape detector are arranged relatively movably to the overall length of the tube. Further, there is provided a method of detecting the three-dimensional shape of the tube, and includes the steps of holding the tube and detecting the tube shape. The tube is held by the at least one reception part which supports the tube from inside, the tube shape is detected in a noncontact manner, and the tube shape is detected to the overall length of the tube.
