PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection system capable of accurately controlling deployment of a side surface occupant protection device by suppressing erroneous determination of rotation of a vehicle.SOLUTION: In an occupant protection system, a control device 3 includes: a first comparison portion 31 which compares a first detection result on the basis of a detection result of a first acceleration detection portion 1 with a first positive threshold and a first negative threshold and outputs a first comparison signal when the first detection result is larger than the first positive threshold or when the first detection result is smaller than the first negative threshold; a second comparison portion 32 which compares a second detection result on the basis of a detection result of a second acceleration detection portion 2 with a second positive threshold and a second negative threshold and outputs a second comparison signal when the second detection result is larger than the second positive threshold or when the second detection result is smaller than the second negative threshold; and a deployment control section 35 which deploys one of side surface protection devices 51 and 52 on the basis of positive and negative of the first detection result and the second detection result when receiving the first comparison signal and the second comparison signal. |
