PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high capacity positive electrode active material having excellent cycle characteristics and high temperature stability, as the positive electrode active material of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: In the lithium composite compound particle powder having a lithium nickel-containing composite oxide as core particles, a surface treatment component containing at least fluorine and metal element (A is at least one kind of element selected from Li, Mg, Al, Ti, Zn, Zr, and Y) exists on the surface of a core particle. When the particle surface of the lithium composite compound particle powder is analyzed by a flight time secondary ion mass spectroscope, the cation strength ratio (LiF/LiO) is 1.0-100, and the strength ratio (A/TM) of the ion of transition metal element and ion of a metal element (A) of a surface treatment component is 1.0-1000. |
