PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which can prevent output from declining at a transition from a low load power generation to high load power generation and a purge control method of the fuel cell system.SOLUTION: When a nitrogen concentration at low load time (No in S1) is equal to or greater than a first concentration (Yes in S3), an accelerated purge request flag is set to 1 (S4) and then, if the accelerated purge request flag remains set to 1 when a high output request is asserted (Yes in S1), a purge amount is set on the basis of the nitrogen concentration and the request load (S8) and an accelerated purge is executed (S10). After the execution of the accelerated purge, the accelerated purge request flag is set to 0 (S9). |
