PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent developer from being deposited on a guide member surface, to reduce coating instability to be caused by a developer supply failure.SOLUTION: A developing device 1 includes: a developing sleeve 8; a magnet roller 8m included in the developing sleeve 8 and equipped with a plurality of magnetic poles; a first conveyance screw 5 for supplying developer stored in a developer container 2 and including toner and carrier, to the developing sleeve 8; and a regulation blade 9 for regulating a layer thickness of the developer conveyed from the first conveyance screw 5. A guide member 11 is provided which backs up the developer from the first conveyance screw 5 on the upstream side in a rotating direction of the developing sleeve 8 of the regulation blade 9, to form a buffer part for temporarily storing the developer with the regulation blade 9. On a surface of the guide member 11 facing the regulation blade 9, the guide member 11 is disposed so that a direction of a resultant force of a magnetic force to be applied on carrier particles with the magnet roller 8m and gravitational force is aligned with a direction separating from the surface of the guide member 11. |
