RADIATION DETECTOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector capable of securing reliability by protecting a scintillator layer without forming an envelope in the solid structure.SOLUTION: An X-ray detector 10 includes: a light detection part 12 which converts a light 11 into an electrical signal; and an X-ray radiation detection part 14 having a scintillator layer 23 which is in contact with the light detection part 12 and converts an X-ray 13 made incident from the outside into the light. Furthermore, the X-ray detector 10 includes a case 27 which has a lid body 29 covering the X-ray detection part 14 to seal the light detection part 12 and the X-ray detection part 14. A wiring 41 is connected to the light detection part 12. The case 27 is covered with the envelope 44 and the wiring 41 is made to penetrate through the envelope 44. The elastic coefficient of a material constituting the lid body 29 is made larger than that of the material constituting the envelope 44.
