The invention relates to a valve system for brass instruments, comprising mechanically actuated rotary valves which are rotatably mounted in valve bushes (8) and tube attachments (1, 2, 3, 4) both for tubes which supply and lead away the air flow and for valve tube loops (11), characterised in that the valve system (9) has a milled valve block (9) in which a bore (10) is arranged, which bore runs through the valve system in a straight line and with a constant cross-section through the valve bushes (8), and into which bores (13) that extend approximately at right angles to said bore and that have the same cross-section open to the valve tube loops (11), wherein upon valve actuation said bores (10 and 13) are connected to one another by the rotatable valve cylinders (12) and bores (6) disposed therein, wherein said bores (6) extend approximately in a straight line through the valve cylinder and correspond in the cross-section thereof to the further bores (10 and 13), and the valve bushes (8) are likewise milled directly into the valve block (9). |
