Coupling element for the coupling of LED to fibre bundle for endoscopy, as glass bodies having, on the two end faces, identical or different geometry, which are embodied in a circular fashion, in rectangular fashion or in any desired form and are thus adapted to LED coupling surfaces and to fibre bundle coupling surfaces, and wherein the coupling element is constructed from a glass core and a plurality of at least 3 to 10 successive glass claddings and these cladding layers have identical or different thicknesses and each cladding layer consists of glass having a different refractive index, wherein the thicknesses and the refractive indices of the cladding layers are selected according to the calculation and optimum beam guidance of the LED beams to be coupled in and of the required beams to be coupled out for coupling-out into a fibre bundle or a forwarding optical system. |
