PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of being planarly disposed along the peripheries of a wearer's legs and capable of suppressing a stimulus to his/her skin.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 1 includes a leg expansion/contraction part which is disposed along a leg periphery opening provided on the width-direction outside of a product with respect to an absorber and which can be expanded/contracted along the longitudinal direction of the product. The leg expansion/contraction part comprises a strip-shaped first leg expansion/contraction material 76, and a string-like second leg expansion/contraction material 77 which is disposed in a first expansion/contraction material disposition area where the first leg expansion/contraction material is arranged and the product-width-direction length of which is shorter than that of the first leg expansion/contraction material. A nonelastic side flap 70 is provided on the side of a surface abutting on a wearer's skin, with respect to the first leg expansion/contraction material and/or the second leg expansion/contraction material. The product-longitudinal-direction extension percentage of the second leg expansion/contraction material is higher than that of the first leg expansion/contraction material.
