The present application is applied to the field of communications, and provided are a resource reconfiguration method and system, a base station and a radio network controller (RNC) for a common enhanced dedicated channel. The method comprises: receiving a common enhanced dedicated channel (Common EDCH) resource allocated by an RNC to a forward access channel (FACH) for use during physical shared channel reconfiguration (S201); receiving a radio link management message sent by the RNC, the radio link management message carrying the unique identifier allocated by the RNC to a resource of dedicated channel state (Cell DCH) user equipment, the unique identifier of the resource being the unique identifier of a certain sub-resource in the Common EDCH (S202); according to the unique identifier of the resource or whether the user equipment which will establish a Cell DCH link is in a forward channel (Cell_FACH) state (S203), returning to the RNC the corresponding information to enable the RNC to send the corresponding information to the Cell_FACH user equipment (S204). The present application can be applied to effectively increase the resource utilization rate, and will not delay the access of dedicated channel state user equipment.
