The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a filter of the purification tank of a gas mask. The method for manufacturing the filter of the purification tank of the gas mask comprises the steps of: preparing raw materials for fabricating rayon fibers; preparing an acidic pretreatment solution containing monovalent or bivalent metal ions; adding a potassium permanganate solution to the acidic pretreatment solution and preparing a deposition solution; depositing the prepared rayon fibers into the deposition solution and at 20-35 for 30-90 minutes; washing the surface of the deposited rayon fibers; drying the rayon fibers; performing oxidative stabilization of the dried rayon fibers at 350-450 for 30-90 minutes; maintaining the oxidative-stabilized rayon fibers by blocking oxygen at 700-800 under an inert atmosphere and activating carbonization; pulverizing the carbonization-activated rayon fibers in lengths of 10-100 um; and molding the pulverized rayon fibers using a molding machine and preparing a filter.
